SilkArt: GemMagic is a collection of silk scarves inspired by nature and its wonderous gift of gems - one can feel the magic radiating from these exquisite gifts. The colors, the sparkle, and the iridescence of these gems are pure magic and sparkle imagination and creativity!
This abstract series has been painted using brushes, but without using gutta or resist. This technique allows the dyes to travel freely across the silk, and the results surprise and excite me every time. The wet on wet and the layered techniques have been used in this series, with stunning textural effects created with a sprinkle of salt.
